In addition to the logo design, I also do all the other graphic and communication design work for the collective, photography, and a lot of the social media output. That includes posters, digital flyers, stickers, playlist covers, etc.
Freiraumschall Visual Identity
Freiraumschall is a collective for music, art, and young culture. It was founded in Graz by a group of my friends, all DJs and me as the graphic designer of the collective. The name literally translates to Free (Frei) Space (Raum) Sound (Schall). The first logo was very typography-based, I wanted a font without much white space to create a dense black "Room", so Juice, my own typeface, was a perfect choice. The circular sound waves spread from the free space created by the capital F in the top left corner. After the launch of the collective in 2020 with the initial logo that I designed, I made a redesign in 2021, resulting in a type-free version of the original design. The goal of the redesign was to turn the logo into a more minimalistic symbol that works without typography and is recognizable across all formats. The most important part was to keep the essence of the original logo, so it could still be immediately associated with Freiraumschall.
